When it comes to makeup, on most days I have no trouble with and love putting on a “full-face”. But, I am sure I am not the only one guilty of having those days when you just want a quick and easy fix, but still want to feel fresh and pretty for the day. Luckily, I have recently discovered a few new products which are amazing for exactly this, a quick fix for those days when you want to look and feel good, without all the hassle. And guess what? They’re all under £7 from the drugstore:

Simple Kind To Skin+ Perfecting BB Beauty Balm SPF15 50ml, £6.29:

First of all, let’s talk about skin: My favourite daily foundation at the moment is MACs Studio Fix Fluid, which gives great coverage and lasts all day. But, on some days I don’t feel like applying a thick moisturise, primer, a full coverage foundation and setting powder. I think the last sentence also kind of explained why: there are so many steps and it takes time and effort to do it. Therefore, if I am running late I usually just pop on a bit of BB-cream, and my favourite at the moment is the Simple Beauty Balm here. It is quite thick and gives a nice coverage of any spots you might have, but it is still so light on the skin, has SPF and moisture, so you basically don’t need to use any other products with it. Quick and easy right?

St. Moriz Fast Self Tanning Mousse 200ml, £5.99:

A BB-cream is quick and simple, but if I sometimes feel like wearing absolutely nothing on my skin, a fake tan goes a long way. I might have some spots or dark circles, but as soon as I get a bit of a tan on my skin looks so much more glowy and healthy that I often don’t need any cream, foundation or powder at all! I have actually never used fake tan in my past, but as I had heard so many good reviews about the St. Moriz Self Tanning Mousse here, I just had to give it a try! Needless to say, I was very much impressed and it has now become a favourite of mine. It doesn’t smell, it goes and smoothly and dries quickly, in addition to being ridiculously cheap. What more can I ask for?

Eyelash curler:

Having freshened up my face, there are only two things left – my eyes and lips. Since I am lucky enough to have naturally dark and quite long lashes, I have no problem with not wearing mascara. Yes I do wear it on most days, but if I am going for a quick fix and normally don’t care at all about mascara. What I have started to do instead is to use a eyelash curler, quickly leaving my lashes a bit more lifted and curled. Mine is from The Body Shop, but you can find them practically anywhere!

L’Oreal Paris Perfection Brow Artist Plumper, £5.99:

Even though I can leave my eyelashes bare, one thing I am not as comfortable with are my eyebrows. I have always had quite sparse eyebrows, and even though using the EyeBrow did wonders to them, I still like to use some product in them on a daily basis. Doing your brows can take up a lot of time, but luckily I was back in August introduced to a product which really changed my brow routine, and that is the Loreal Brow Artist Plumper here. A pigmented brow mascara is such a great thing to have in your makeup collection for those days when your brows needs a bit of a lift and volume, while still looking natural. I comb a bit of product through my brows and they instantly look so much better, but you can’t really tell I have anything in them as it leaves such a natural finish.

Burt’s Bees® 100% Natural Lip Balm, Beeswax, £3.69:

Moving over to my lips, I simply live for a good lip balm. I wear a lot of lipsticks and lipliners and my lips therefore often suffer from being dry, so I always need to keep a moisturising lip balm within reach. I have fallen completely in love with the Burt’s Bees lip balms here, as they are so natural, cheap and of course work like nothing else. I use them every morning, every evening, underneath my lipsticks and on top of my lipsticks when needed. They are my biggest beauty life savers and also my biggest recommendation if you haven’t tried them yet!
