I have already been home from Rome for a week, but there are still a few posts that I haven’t had the time to share on my blog yet. While in Rome we got to experience quite a lot of different Tours (including my first time on a Segway), but nothing was quite as unique as the night tour showing The Dark Heart of Rome.

TRAVEL: After three hours on a Segway, we barely had time for a short food break before heading on to our next adventure. The sun was beginning to set, but the city was not nearly ready to go to sleep just yet. At 9pm we met our tour guide on the steps of an old church, and he immediately dragged us through the narrow streets filled with secrets and rumours. His quick pace made it difficult to catch up, especially as our feet were so tired, but whenever we stopped somewhere there were amazing stories to be told. Focusing on the dark side of Rome, with rumours and stories about Ghosts, Mysteries and Legends of Rome, among other interesting things that might not be mentioned in the regular tours, the hours seemed to pass by so quickly. Even though I love the old architecture and ruins that can be found all over Rome, the stories behind them don’t always seem to interest me as much, while the stories our guide told us on this tour I am pretty sure will stick with me forever. I don’t want to give away too much, but I would definitely recommend taking the tour as well if you think it sounds interesting.

Thanks to Dark Rome for having us!
